(Someone's) Day 11- A picture of something you dislike.

I hate beets. They are DISGUSTING.

(Supposed to be) Day 10- A story about a past relationship.

So...I have a pretty good story about a past relationship, a select few people know this one already. Some of you might think it's a bit inappropriate, but whatever. I have told Travis this story already, and he's really the only one I care about judging me (because I know he won't). So, here goes.

One guy I dated (he will remain nameless, and I hope he doesn't read this because I didn't ask his permission :) had a secret. He didn't tell me about it until we had been dating for a while, with good reason. He figured he had to tell me though, because I kept trying to touch his hair. Every time I would put my hand up to his forehead to move one of his out-of-place hairs, he would back away from me. I thought this was weird, because he had no problem holding my hand or anything like that, I'm pretty sure we had kissed already as well.

One night, however, I guess I was being a extra-persistent with my attempts to touch the top of his head, so he spilled the beans. "Do you want to know the reason I don't let you touch my hair?" he said. (Duh.) "It's a hair piece." This was while we were sitting in the living room of my apartment, with my roommates in close proximity, but I yelled, "Shut up!!" I thought he was joking. But, he was quite serious, and answered all my silly questions, and let me feel the difference between the real and fake hair.

So, fast forward a couple of months. One night we were sitting in my apartment, talking, and doing things that dating people tend to do (making out). I have to admit I got a little into it, and I had my hands on the back of his head. I guess I pushed a little harder than I expected with my hands, because all of a sudden I felt...tape. We immediately stopped, and looked at each other. I really HAD just..uprooted? unearthed? unstuck? the toupee. We laughed for a good 20 minutes, and called it a night.      :)

Day 09- Something/someone you’re proud of.

It might be cheating, but I have two. :)

First, my (fake) wedding cake.

I made this, all by myself. And I am proud of it. Not only was it the first endeavor like this I took on, but even with all the stress of my wedding, I didn't even stress out about it. I just did it. And it turned out pretty wonderfully, if I do say so myself. :)

Second, my husband.

My husband wants to be a policeman. He sometimes pretends like he doesn't, but when it comes down to it, this is his dream. I love that he wants to help people, and that he's willing to actually go after his dream. And for that, I am SOOO proud of him! He didn't make it this time, but I know he'll keep trying. :) !!

Day 08- Short term goals for this month and why.

Goals..? I love having goals, I just don't usually follow through with them...hee hee. ;) Let's see here.

1. Learn my new job better. I feel a little like a dunce with the computer system we have to use. My old job had everything on paper, and it was soooo much easier! But I'm learning, slowly but surely. :)

2. Get through the month without too much financial strain. We're taking our vacation to Florida soon, and I just want to plan ahead enough that we won't be struggling as much as when we got back from our last vacation.

3. Read my scriptures more! Holy smokes, it's pathetic. I used to read every day, no matter what. Now, not so much. We usually read a scripture together, and don't get me wrong, it's not like I've stopped completely or anything. I just need more personal scripture study!

4. Go see my Mommy. We couldn't go down to see her today, and I wish we could have. I miss her something fierce.

5. Not be as lazy.

6. Get more paint on the walls...

7. Be more ok with myself.
